Organic ShampooWhy do I need organic shampoo? You body composition is a factor in whether you need something organic or not. Most commercial shampoo companies put a popular ingredient in their shampoo that is called sodium laureth sulfate. This chemical is known to cause skin irritation in people. If you have a compromised immune system you may notice a difference if you stop using it. In other people, this harsh chemical can lead to skin dryness and dandruff. If there is no irritation for you, there is one other important factor. Even though the sodium laureth sulfate is a safe product it is often laced with 1,4-dioxane which is a known carcinogen. Government regulation recommends removing the dioxane to manufacturers, but it isn't required. Sodium laureth sulfate is known to be a toxin. Most healthy people can handle toxins because their body can get rid of them through their liver, kidneys, skin, etc. Some reports have stated that sodium laureth sulfate is harmful to the liver and eyes of children.
